The Friends of the Winona Public Library value, support and champion the public library. The purpose of this organization is to maintain an association of persons interested in libraries; to focus public attention on the Winona Public Library; to stimulate the use of the library's resources and services; to receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the library; to support and cooperate with the library in developing library services and facilities for the community and to support the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights.
If you are interested in supporting the library, please consider joining the Friends. Meetings are typically held the 4th Saturday of the month, September through June, at 9:00 a.m. in the Art Room of the library. New members are always welcome.

Thanks to all who volunteered and participated in the 2010 sale. It was a huge success! Look for our next book sale in April 2011 at the Winona Senior Friendship Center.
Scanners are not allowed at the sale.
Final day sale: $5/bag all day and half price on individual books purchased.
All proceeds go toward the purchase of new books for Winona Public Library's collection.
We seek volunteers to help sort and set-up the sale the week prior to the sale, and work during the sale dates. Interested volunteers should contact the Friends.
Winona Public Library Used Book Sale is part of a week-long Citywide Book Sale, in partnership with Winona Health Auxiliary, The Book Shelf, Paperbacks & Pieces, and the Winona County Historical Society.
